About Your Role
We are looking for a VP Partnerships & Channel (Head of CARE) to join our Revenue Organization. In this role, you will own channel-sourced revenue for the entire firm and build the CARE partner program (Channel Affiliate Recruiting and Engagement) into a system, helping to drive pre-trusted, pre-qualified pipeline into every service line at the lowest acquisition cost the firm will ever see.
If you’re passionate about building partner and referral programs from the ground up, working with CPAs, RIAs, attorneys, and bankers, thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and growth-focused environment where innovation, teamwork, and continuous learning drive success, we’d love to hear from you!
The ideal candidate is a builder and a player-coach with strong compliance judgment—someone who takes initiative, embraces challenges, and is eager to contribute to a culture of excellence and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Own channel-sourced revenue across all service lines and the north-star metric behind it: partner-sourced share of firm-wide new revenue, measured against a baseline you establish.
- Recruit partners by design, with partner-type ICPs and distinct pitches built on targetable datasets (state CPA society directories, Form ADV extracts, deal databases), prioritizing producing partners over a logo wall.
- Operate the four-stage affiliate lifecycle (recruit, onboard and enable, activate, grow and retain), with 90-day activation as the metric that matters and recruiter compensation gated on it.
- Administer tiering and economics: Bronze through Platinum on trailing-twelve-month referred fees, commissions paid monthly in arrears on collected fees through a Partner Operations function reporting to you.
- Deliver enablement and co-marketing: per-partner-type kits, webinar-in-a-box programs, and an event calendar across state CPA societies, bar sections, and banking associations.
- Structure compliance-clean economics per partner type with counsel (SEC Marketing Rule for RIAs, state bar rules for attorneys, state board rules for CPAs, institution-level agreements for bankers) before the first new agreement signs.
- Complete the migration of the firm’s legacy affiliate book onto new counsel-cleared multi-line agreements in your first ninety days, with durable partner management around it.
- Manage the Strategic Alliances lane: a small portfolio of company-to-company relationships governed by MOU, co-marketing, white-label, or services instruments, never percentage payouts, measured on sourced pipeline and co-delivered revenue.
Success Metrics
- Channel-sourced revenue and partner-sourced share – achievement against plan on the north-star share metric, from a first-month baseline.
- 90-day affiliate activation rate – first qualified referral logged and accepted as an SQL by an AE within 90 days of signing.
- Payout accuracy and timeliness – alongside referrals per producing partner per quarter, referral-to-SQL acceptance, and deal-registration hygiene.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education – Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience – 7+ years building or scaling B2B partner or channel programs with direct ownership of a channel revenue number, ideally referral or affiliate programs into professional-services buyers, including direct experience recruiting and managing CPA firms, RIAs or wealth managers, attorneys, or commercial bankers as referral partners.
- Essential technical skills – A builder’s track record standing up program economics, tiering, enablement, and partner operations from little or nothing, with activation and production curves to show; working knowledge of the compliance terrain around referral economics for regulated professionals; player-coach disposition to personally recruit anchor partners while hiring the team that scales it.
- Preferred – Experience in financial services, tax, or advisory categories where trust transfer is the buying mechanism; PRM platforms, deal registration, and recurring revenue-share payout operations; migrating an existing partner base onto new agreements without losing relationships; co-marketing programs that produced measured referral lift.
Benefits & Perks
- Health Insurance (75% paid for you and family by Occams)
- Dental & Vision (75% paid for you and family by Occams)
- 401k non-contributory 3% of your entire compensation (1 year wait)

- Unlimited PTO Policy

- One of the best cultures of benevolent meritocracy
